Minimalism är det nya tävlingsmomentet på Likström. Jag tog bilder för att se om jag kunde få till det.

Canon 5D+Sigma 50/1.4

Jessica på besök, oväntat sådant. Suki känner igen henne. Vi gick ut en sväng och fotade. Som vanligt riktades min kamera mot husen. Här är resultatet. Kan ni höra sången i bakgrunden?
Jessica came on a unannounced visit. Suki recognized her. We went out, brought the cameras along. As usual, my lens moved along the buildings. The result is in the pics. Can you hear the hymns in the wind?

Zorki 4. A cup of coffee and a book. The trip
5D+Sigma 50mm/1.4

This weekend I started of in Gothenburg, with a trip to my girlfriend. The Zorki 4 came along, and after just a few days, this has become one of my favourites. It’s cheap, has an excellent lens, light, and does not draw that much attention. I can however say, if you are used to Leica, don’t go hoping this is a cheap Leica it’s not. The viewfinder is clear, but focusing is not as good as Leica, and, well, it’s greenich.

And this last picture will show how a rangefinder works as seen in the viewfinder.

How a rangefinder works

As you can see, the rangefinder triangulates by measuring the distance between the object on which you focus, the film, and the distance. When you move the focus-ring, you lay pressure on a plate inside the camera, this plate operates a mirror, that gives you a ”ghost image” on your viewfinder. When they are in sync, IE, when you have the correct focus, you have the the ghost-image matching the image you see in your viewfinder. In my picture, I’ve chosen to show the ghost-image as green-ich, but it may (and WILL) vary between cameras.

Be sure to send me a comment if you like what you see!

Zorki 4 with Jupiter 8 50/2

Jag fick post av pappa idag, en Zorki 4 med ett Jupiter 8 50/2 påsatt. Underbar liten kamera, gjord i sovjet, och om man ska tro serienummret är min producerad 1959 :)
Got mail from my dad today, a Zorki 4 with a Jupiter 8 50/2 lens mounted on it. Wonderful little camera, I really like it!
Serial number says that it’s made in the USSR in 1959 :)

Likströms fototräff!

Johan.

Photo-meet from the community Likström, after the idea from me and Cadii. The meet was awesome! Somewhat tired Mupp, but overall, lets do it again!

Nikonljus

Fick låna ett Nikkor 105mm/2.5 av Johan, tack så jättemycket! Bilden visar Nikonljuset.

I borrowed a Nikkor 105mm from Johan, thanks a lot! Picture shows the ”Nikon light”.

Petronella, Mupp’s sällskap, visar här hur underbart Nikkorn funkar till porträtt!

Petronella, Mupp’s company, shows how great the nikkor is as a portrait lens!
